Power to the San Bernardino campus has been restored as of 9:55 a.m. Normal campus operations will resume Friday, July 26th. Essential staff with questions on whether to report should contact their appropriate administrator. Facilities Management will be working to check all building systems including HVAC, elevators and fire alarms. If power has not been restored in your work area when you return, please report that to Facilities Planning and Management at (909) 537-5175. The Palm Desert Campus remains open and operational.

Educational Opportunity Center

The California State University, San Bernardino TRIO Educational Opportunity Center (EOC) is a federally funded program designed to assist adults, 19 years or older, who would like to pursue a program of higher education or earn their High School Diploma or GED.

EOC assists individuals with exploring, applying, and enrolling into:

  • Certificate programs
  • Trade and Vocational Schools
  • Associate's Degree programs at 2 Year Colleges/Community Colleges
  • Bachelor's Degree programs at 4 Year Colleges and Universities

EOC also assists individuals with applying for financial aid such as:

  • State and federal grants (Cal Grant, Pell Grant, etc.)
  • Federal Work Study
  • Scholarships
  • Educational Loans

Our mission is to support community members through their educational journeys by providing quality academic advising, career counseling, financial aid advising, and other services free of charge. 

The following groups are also eligible for our services:

  • High School Seniors
  • High School Graduates
  • Community College students
  • Trade or Vocational school students
  • Students attending 4-year colleges and universities

Additionally, the following groups are highly encouraged to apply to receive program services:

  • Individuals who started but never finished either their high school diploma or college degree (HS or College Dropouts)
  • Veterans and military-connected family members
