Meet and Greet w/ Black Scholars Program

The Black Residential Scholars Presents "Meet and Greet with the Black Scholars Program"

Hosted By: Black Scholars Program and the Black Residential Scholars

Description: Come and learn about the Black Scholars Program while enjoying Coffee and Donuts. *Coffee and light refreshments will be available while supplies last.

Me time! Snack and Relax! Presented By Black History Month

Date: Tuesday, February 21, 2023 

Time: Noon-2 pm

Location: SMSU East (At the bottom of the building, right across from the health center.)

Hosted By: Black Scholars Program, Black History Month Planning Committee, The Retreat, and CAPS

Description: The Black community suffers from increased mental health concerns, including anxiety and depression. The Black Scholars Program wanted to make sure you prioritize your mental health because it is an essential part of your overall physical health and satisfaction. The Black Scholars Program has partnered with The Black History Month Planning Committee, The Retreat, and CAPS to ensure you can take time for yourself. We have blocked out times for students who identify as Black or Pan-African to utilize the retreat space. We also hope to provide light refreshments to students who utilize the space.

Black Scholars Scholarship Application

Black Scholars Scholarship Application is now open. The Black Scholars Program has a few scholars to award to CSUSB students for Spring 2023. The scholarship application is open until March 16th, and the scholarship award amounts will vary depending on the category.

*Applicants must be current CSUSB students. The deadline to apply is Thursday, March 16.

Black Girl Magic Summit

Date: Wednesday, April 12, 2023

Time: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Location: SMSU North Event Center

Hosted By: Black Scholars Program

Description: The Black Scholars Program will host their 1st Annual Black Girl Magic Summit. This year’s theme is “Sis, let me pour into you!” The theme showcases the programmatic goal of black women and support for all ages. The Summit is scheduled for Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at California State University, San Bernardino, in the San Manuel Student Union’s North Event Center.  This free black women’s empowerment summit is for the CSUSB campus community and students at San Bernardino and Riverside Counties high schools and community colleges. Our goal will be to strengthen our sense of belonging and empower, uplift black women with discussions on topics such as Self Love, Self-Care, Healthy Relationships, Financial Awareness, and Women’s Health.
