Power to the San Bernardino campus has been restored as of 9:55 a.m. Normal campus operations will resume Friday, July 26th. Essential staff with questions on whether to report should contact their appropriate administrator. Facilities Management will be working to check all building systems including HVAC, elevators and fire alarms. If power has not been restored in your work area when you return, please report that to Facilities Planning and Management at (909) 537-5175. The Palm Desert Campus remains open and operational.

The President's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Board at California State University, San Bernardino

Established in 2020 as a direct response to a diversity mapping report, the DEI Board has been actively working to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion on our campus. The programming subcommittee plays a crucial role in organizing strategically coordinated events, co-curricular programming, workshops, and training initiatives. The success of the President’s DEI Board in hosting and supporting DEI programs throughout our campus is a testament to the positive impact we can achieve together.

We are delighted to inform you that awards of up to $1500 have been allocated for the 2023-2024 academic year. We invite you to explore collaborative opportunities to enhance and support your programs within the framework of our DEI initiatives. The deadline to submit a proposal is 5pm on February 16, 2024.

We believe that your innovative ideas and initiatives can contribute significantly to our collective efforts in fostering a more inclusive and equitable campus environment. Your participation and commitment are key to the success of our ongoing DEI initiatives.

 

Eligibility:

Any University faculty, student, or staff member is eligible to apply for these funds. Preference will be given to program proposals that directly support the university’s strategic plan related to DEI work.

Applications:

To apply, please submit a compelling proposal that includes a comprehensive executive summary. Clearly articulate how your proposed program strategically aligns with and advances specific DEI goals outlined in our strategic plan. Annotate the target audience, explicitly defining how the program will cater to students, faculty, and staff. Additionally, include measurable learning outcomes to assess the program's impact.

The committee has earmarked $9,000 in program funds, which will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis for programs that meet the criteria outlined above. The deadline to submit a proposal is 5pm on February 16, 2024. The application can be found here.
