  How To Meet With a  Student Mentor

Student mentors are here to guide and support all students throughout the academic school year. 

We encourage you to make an appointment on Navigate or stop by at IW-203 for a drop in.

We offer In-person and Online mentoring options:

In-person: Appointments will meet with their mentor in-person in IW-203 for a 1-on-1 meeting. Walk-ins are also available for in-person. View the in-person mentoring schedule. 

Online: Online mentoring is conducted on a 1-on-1 basis via Zoom. When making an appointment on Navigate, make sure to select “Virtual” for the meeting type.

How to make an appointment on Navigate: 

1. Log onto your MyCoyote

2. Find “My Academics”

3. Locate the Navigate icon

4. Once you have accessed Navigate, on the top right corner there is a blue box that says “Schedule an Appointment”. Click on it.

5. For Type of Appointment: Click on “Academic Support”

6. For Service: Choose either “Academic Goals” or “Personal Goals”

7. Pick a date that you would like to meet with a mentor. 

8. Click “Find Available Time” on the bottom. 

9. Choose your 30 minute slot

10. Review your appointment details

11. Confirm your appointment.

How to make an appointment on Navigate

What to expect: When coming in for an in-person appointment, or as a walk-in, at IW-203, you will be greeted by your mentor. You will then be instructed to sign into the Kiosk. Once that is done, you may sit wherever you feel comfortable and have your 1-on-1 meeting. 

Cancellations: As a courtesy to the mentors and your fellow students, if you cannot attend your scheduled appointment, please use the same steps you would use to attend your appointment and select the “Upcoming Appointments” option. Select the option to cancel your appointment. If you do not officially cancel your appointments, they will be designated as “No Shows.” Several No Shows may exclude you from making any additional appointments for the semester.
