Francisca Beer, professor of accounting and finance and associate dean and director for the Office of Academic Equity in the Jack H. Brown College of Business and Public Administration, believes diversity in faculty is a huge factor in student success. For Beer, student success is attracting, retaining, graduating and helping students secure great jobs after college.

According to Beer, studies continue to highlight the benefits of diversity. Studies have shown that people in diverse environments are happier, healthier and advance better in their careers.

Beer is passionate about the benefits diversity provides students at CSUSB. She understands that diversity, equity and inclusion go hand-in-hand.

Beer believes that when diversity is promoted by administrators, faculty, staff and students, people develop a sense of belonging. She knew Cal State San Bernardino was the right choice for her when she had that feeling, and she continues to create that sense of belonging for students at CSUSB.

Diversity is a vital part of CSUSB, and Beer is a proud member of a faculty who represent various backgrounds, thoughts and experiences.
