Valencia Jones

Dr. Valencia S. Jones  is a Full-Time Lecturer  James R. Watson & Judy Rodriguez Watson College of Education, Department of Teacher Education & Foundations.      She in serves as the  Program Coordinator for the Multiple-Subject and Single Subject Credentials Program.  As is an accomplished educator, instructional leader, and program coordinator with more than 24 years of experience spanning K–12 and higher education. She currently serves as the Coordinator for the Multiple Subject and Single Subject Credential Programs at CSUSB, where she prepares and mentors the next generation of teachers through equity-driven instruction, high-impact coaching, and systems-level change.

A proud first-generation college graduate, Dr. Jones began her educational journey as an AVID tutor and later taught high school mathematics, AP courses, and English learner programs before moving into district- and university-level leadership. In higher education, she has taught a wide range of undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral courses in educational leadership, counseling, mathematics education, and special education, and has mentored numerous doctoral candidates through their dissertation research.

Dr. Jones is deeply committed to expanding access, supporting future educators, and transforming learning spaces to serve all students. Her work continues to bridge K–12 and higher education in service of inclusive excellence and teacher quality.
