Power to the San Bernardino campus has been restored as of 9:55 a.m. Normal campus operations will resume Friday, July 26th. Essential staff with questions on whether to report should contact their appropriate administrator. Facilities Management will be working to check all building systems including HVAC, elevators and fire alarms. If power has not been restored in your work area when you return, please report that to Facilities Planning and Management at (909) 537-5175. The Palm Desert Campus remains open and operational.

Bio

Dr. Nathaniel Bodell is a scholar of Exercise physiology, with a background in interdisciplinary health sciences. Dr. Bodell encourages collaborative research endeavors across multiple disciplines. This interdisciplinary approach has yielded publications in the areas of recreational sports, exercise physiology, exercise at altitude, metabolic responses, motor learning, wearable technology, trail running, and wellness. Dr. Bodell’s research line concerns lipid metabolism among an older adult population, as well as motor learning implications on simulated automotive racing. Additionally, Nathaniel has been an active member within the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) since 2012. Dr. Bodell is a senior editor for the International Journal of Exercise Science (IJES) and facilitates a student group to review literature submitted for peer review.

Dr. Bodell sits on the board for the CSUSB Center on Aging, which is an interdisciplinary collaboration for the improvement of older adult health and wellness. Dr. Bodell is an adapter of Culturally Responsive teaching and strives to harbor a positive learning environment. He regularly mentors students on academic and professional concerns and has overseen multiple student interns. Dr. Bodell is the Kinesiology Student Association club advisor and the Co-director of the Exercise is Medicine fitness assessment program.
