Megan Garvey, head of digital media for the Los Angeles Times, will be the featured speaker when the Cal State San Bernardino College of Arts and Letters and the Coyote Chronicle host “Multimedia Storytelling – New Tools & Forces” beginning at 4 p.m. Thursday, April 6.

The talk, which is open to students, faculty and staff, will take place in the John M. Pfau Library room PL 5005. RSVP online on OrgSync.

Using Los Angeles Times case studies, Garvey will explore effective storytelling tools and emerging trends in digital media. The master class is part of the Times’ ongoing investment in youth journalism in San Bernardino. The Times has provided seed funding for the newly launched Community News Section of the Coyote Chronicle as well as support for El Cajon High School’s participation in the Times’ High School Insider initiative.

The event is hosted by the College of Arts and Letters, the CSUSB Department of Communication Studies and the Coyote Chronicle.
