Mount Wilson Observatory and Hike - SBC
We will start our adventure in the San Gabriel Mountains with a docent guided tour of the historic Mount Wilson Observatory. The tour includes a walk around the grounds (two hours or more), a talk on the history of the institution, and visits to the major telescopes including close-up looks at the instruments with descriptions of their operation and of the amazing discoveries made with each. Our daytime tour does not include looking through a telescope. After our tour we will have lunch and hike a few more miles on trails in the area.
