Gang Violence Symposium

This symposium explores intelligence-led solutions to gang violence. The event is organized around two panels. Aiming a spotlight on civil gang injunctions (CGIs), the first panel investigates what we know about how gang violence spreads in response to CGIs, rivalries and alliances, and spatial proximity. After reviewing current research, the second panel explores intelligence-led solutions through a moderated panel of leading experts. The event promises to be an open dialogue about civil gang injunctions and possible alternatives, which could be used to weaken the web of violence and improve community safety across greater L.A. metropolitan region.
