    LGBTQ+ History Month Kick-Off featuring keynote speaker Romeo Jackson. Keynote will center LGBTQ+ History through an intersectional framework and discussion on how we can be stewards of the legacies of community that came before us.

  • LGBTQ+ History Month Presents: Physical and Mental Resources for Wellness

  • LGBTQ+ History Month Book Discussion: Rainbow Jukebox

    Join the Office of Graduate Studies as we lead a discussion on the Rainbow Jukebox, a book meant to empower all to hear the collective album of a community of people who are still fighting for freedom and acceptance. The first ten students to register for the book discussion will receive a complimentary copy of the Rainbow Jukebox, available for pick up in the Office of Graduate Studies!

  • Coming Out Monologues

    Where: SMSU South - SMSU Theater (SU-107) 

    The Coming Out Monologues is an annual story-telling performance made up of current students, faculty, staff, and community members who identify as LGBTQ+. This storytelling event features a unique collection and representation of experiences and coming out stories authored and performed by people in our community who identify as members of the LGBTQ+ community. It is a raw, inspiring, transformative, and intimate live event.

  • Student-Faculty Research Panel

  • LGBTQ+ 101 for Educators

    When: October 5, 2021 and October 12, 2021

    The webinar will provide an overview of LGBTQ+ students' lives, including terminology, needs, risks, and the importance of their school environment. Attendees will also learn concrete strategies for supporting these students, such as school and district policies and programs that support LGBTQ+ youth.

  • Meet the LGBTQ+ Superheroes of Kraven Comics

  • Screaming Queens: The Riot at Compton's Cafeteria

    Join us while watching the documentary about transgender women and drag queens who fought police harassment at Compton's Cafeteria in San Francisco's Tenderloin in 1966, three years before the famous riot at Stonewall Inn bar in NYC.

  • LGBTQ+ History Month Volleyball Match

    Yotes Athletics celebrates LGBTQ+ History Month during their volleyball match against Cal State Dominguez Hills with video testimonials from student-athletes, coaches, and staff, and celebrates the campus-wide campaign. Admission is FREE.  Register for tickets the day of at:
