The theatre arts department celebrates a major achievement with their musical, "Anansi's Carnival Adventure,” selected as one of four productions for the prestigious Festival 56, organized by the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival program, taking place from Feb. 11-17.

Johanna Smith (theatre arts) will present “Puppets in the Mara” this weekend at CSUSB, Megan Carroll (sociology) was interviewed about new research on asexuality, Barbara Sirotnik (information and decision sciences) discussed the state of the region’s economy, and various news media interviewed Brian Levin (criminal justice, emeritus) on topics related to the latest hate crime statistics.

“Puppets in the Mara” will be performed at the Ronald E. Barnes Theatre on Jan. 12, 13 and 14. Admission is free.

Nearly 1,600 graduates participated in five ceremonies over the Dec. 15-16 weekend at Coussoulis Arena, which was packed at each ceremony with family and friends celebrating their accomplishments.
