Dr. Jordi Solsona Puig

Dr. Jordi Solsona-Puig is an Assistant Professor at the College of Education, Department of Teacher Education & Foundations. He first came to California as a visiting teacher and worked as a History Teacher into a Spanish dual immersion Program. He also taught Social Studies and Digital Literacy in English at the Middle School level. Prior to his experience as curriculum developer and PD instructor in bilingual education in the U.S., Dr. Solsona-Puig spent 16 years in Spain as an Elementary and Secondary teacher and counselor, as well as University Instructor for the Open University of Catalonia teaching in three languages: Catalan, Spanish and English. He strives to devote his teaching, service and research activities at the service of the College of Education and its students. His areas of research are mainly focussed on Dual Immersion programs, educational technology, teacher preparation programs and its implications in equity and social justice.
 

Dr- Solsona-Puig currently serves as Symposium Chair and Co-coordinator of the Bilingual Authorization at the CSUSB College of Education.
