We are now Accepting Events and Proposals for APIDA Heritage Month 2024!

We are thrilled about our upcoming Asian Pacific Islander Desi American (APIDA) Heritage Month programs and events, which will take place during April 2024. We invite any members of our campus community to submit proposals for program support that align with our APIDA Heritage Month theme of Rebellion with Love. To include one or more of your events on our events calendar, please fill out the Event Submission Form. If you would like to receive funding support for your event, please fill out the Proposal Submission Form. We will review and accept applications on a rolling basis beginning Friday, March 1 and up until Friday, March 22, 2024.

Please review the 2024 APIDA Heritage Month Learning Outcomes below for further insight into this month’s vision and theme.

Participants in APIDA Heritage Month will be able to:

  • Reflect on one’s own identities and experiences through learning and exploration of APIDA-identifying folx who are often on the margins of mainstream APIDA discourse
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the social and historical contexts in which the APIDA communities exist in our society today
  • Build relationships of solidarity and community across differences and grounded in this year’s theme, “Rebellion with Love”
  • Identify campus and community resources that will partner with their academic pursuits while attending CSUSB

We look forward to reviewing your applications and supporting our APIDA communities! For further questions, please reach out to apida@csusb.edu.
