Background

This proposal is to provide employees and students the opportunity to purchase a designated campus parking space reserved for their personal use. The cost of the designated parking space will be $60.00 per month.

Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to identify the specific conditions under which reserved parking spaces will be permitted at California State University, San Bernardino.

Policy

Reserved parking spaces will be permitted in all CSUSB parking lots. A parking space will be reserved specifically for the person who pays the $60.00 per month "Reserved Parking Space Fee." Persons who choose to participate in this program will be required to enter into a contract with the Parking Services Department. The minimum initial term of the contract will be six months and may be renewed for additional six-month periods. A special reserved parking permit will be issued for display in the participant's vehicle. The Parking Services Department will determine, with consultation with the individual, the actual location of the reserved parking space. Persons holding a reserved parking permit may also park in other campus parking lots in non-reserved open parking spaces.

Violations

Persons, other than the person who contracted for the reserved space, who park in a reserved space are subject to

  • Receiving a citation for the first offense, and
  • Having their vehicle towed away at their expense for the second offense.
