History

The CSUSB Infant/Toddler Lab School began serving children in April of 2005. The Lab School serves children age 3 to 36 months and is housed in the Social and Behavioral Sciences Building.

The program provides an exemplary childcare program to the students, staff, faculty, and surrounding community of CSUSB. The Lab School operates three classrooms; one for infants (3 months to approximately 1 year of age), one for toddlers (approximately 1 to 2 years of age), and one for 2 year olds. The Lab School has been accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children since 2009.

The program is one of several components under the umbrella of the Institute for Child Development and Family Relations (ICDFR). The ICDFR strives to better serve children and families in the San Bernardino area. Programs under the Institute include Project CUIDAR, the Maternal Intervention Project, and the University Center for Developmental Disabilities. Please see icdfr.csusb.edu for more information.
