Poppies Classroom

The poppies classroom offers a warm and nurturing environment for infants from three months to around 12 months of age (to "move up" to the next classroom, our center uses a philosophy that looks at the individual needs and development of each child rather than a strict age). Through positive and nurturing interactions with teachers, infants are able to develop a sense of safety and well-being, which enables them to feel secure and to explore their world. Much of the day for infants revolves around their individual schedules while activities are periodically offered. Soft areas, gross motor areas, books, music, and sensory activities are just some of the wonderful opportunities that are provided in this room. There are separate areas for sleeping, diapering, and feeding. The adult child ratio in this room is 1:3.
