The toddler room offers a rich learning environment for children from around 12 months to around 21 months of age as they make the transition from infants to active and independent toddlers (to "move up" to the next classroom, our center uses a philosophy that looks at the individual needs and development of each child rather than a strict age). This classroom follows a flexible daily routine and provides the children with plenty of opportunities to actively explore a variety of activities while facilitating the children’s development in all areas. The adult child ratio in this room is 1:4.
