Please allow three business days to receive an appointment confirmation. Please note: make-up exams are available for paper-based exams only. Services to CSUSB students are free. We will ensure the integrity of both the examination and the testing process. Examinations are monitored continuously in a secure environment and free of distraction.
The Writing Requirement Exemption Exam (WREE) has transitioned to the Undergraduate Studies- Dean's Office (UH-352). The WREE assesses your writing ability at the upper-division level, according to proficiencies expected of those successfully completing an advanced expository writing course at CSUSB.
The WREE is a three-hour, computer-based writing test, in which you are expected to compose an essay answering one central question, cite your source(s), and create a works cited page. The essay question is based upon assigned readings from the anthology Crosscurrents: Reading in the Disciplines by Eric Link and Steven Frye. The reading will be assigned one month prior to the exam date and should be read ahead of time. The WREE is an open-book exam.
If you have questions regarding the WREE, please email WREE@csusb.edu
