Start a New Organization

Want to start a new organization? Here's how!

Step #1:

Submit a Pre-Registration Form via Coyote Connection (To Access Form: Log onto Coyote Connection, Click on the Organizations tab, Click on “Register an Organization” button on the left hand side, & scroll down to the blue “Register A New Organization”)

Step #2:

President, Vice President & Treasurer must complete their Agreement Form and meet Officer Eligibility Requirements (2.5 GPA Cumulative & Quarterly, currently enrolled at CSUSB, Less than 225 Units, & in good standing with CSUSB)

Additional Member #4 & #5 must complete their Agreement Form and meet member requirements (currently enrolled at CSUSB)

Advisor must complete their Agreement Form and meet advisor requirements (full-time faculty or staff member at CSUSB)

(To Access Form: Login to CoyoteConnection >> Search Office of Student Engagement >> Go to Forms >> Click on Form: Chartering-Club & Organization Agreement Form (2019-2020)

*Note: The same form is used for Officers, Members & Advisors and each individual must submit their OWN form or it will be denied*)

Step #3:

Once Pre-Registration & Agreement Forms have been submitted the Office of Student Engagement will contact you to schedule a consultation with our Financial Management Specialist & Student Clubs & Organization Coordinator to talk about next steps.

Step #4:

Complete the Charter Application (includes General Information, CoyoteConnection Roster, Trust Fund Fact Sheet information, Contact information for all individuals who completed an agreement form, etc.)

(To Access Application: Login to CoyoteConnection >> Organizations Tab >> Register an Organization >> Search for your Organization >> Re-Register

*Note: It is recommended that the President of the Organization submit the Charter Application*)

Step #5:

Physically turn in Trust Fund Fact Sheet signed by the President, Vice President, & Treasurer once it is sent to you by the Office of Student Engagement (this will be e-mailed to you when you complete steps 1-4).

Step #6:

E-mail the Office of Student Engagement at oseinfo@csusb.edu an Excel version of your Organization's Roster (you will be sent a Roster Template via e-mail!).

Step #7:

President, Vice President & Treasurer must attend an in-person Orientation session during the Fall Quarter with the Office of Student Engagement (See Orientation Dates below or under "Important Dates").

Step #8:

President, Vice President, & Treasurer must complete Title IX End Sexual Violence Training (more information coming soon!)

New Student Clubs or Organizations can charter year-round.
