Workshop Description:
Cybersecurity continues to be a much talked about topic in higher education. This workshop will highlight the measures CSUSB takes to protect university systems, software, and data from cyber-attacks and share tips and techniques all employees can use to protect university assigned equipment. Additionally, attendees will learn approaches to take in protecting personal information, systems, and software from emerging viruses, malware, phishing attempts, and hackers.

Concur Travel & Expense Demonstration

Workshop Description:
Demonstration of the campus electronic travel management system, Concur. Review of procedures to create an electronic travel request and expense report. Key items that will be highlighted are the Concur profile area, how to add a delegate and/or travel assistant/arranger, and how to access the mobile applications related to Concur. FYI, this is a paperless, painless way to submit your travel requests and reimbursements and book travel.

Note: Concur sessions will also address questions related to the reimbursement process for cancellation charges of COVID 19, as well as university-related travel restrictions.

Creating A Culture of Service Excellence

Workshop Description:A must-attend workshop for anyone who desires to create a culture of service excellence. This workshop will provide skills, tips and techniques on how to interact with constituents, demonstrate proper handling and utilization functionalities of assigned university phones, and describe approaches to dealing with difficult customers all while rising to a level of service excellence. This workshop is a great refresher for all and a good investment of time for new employees and student assistants.

Handshake Student Employment Training


Workshop Description:
The Career Center and the Student Employment Office are proud to provide Handshake user training for all campus departments. This training is recommended to those that are planning to hire students for on-campus employment. During the training we will go over how to setup your free Handshake department account, post on-campus jobs on Handshake, view applicants, download a resume packet, expire a job posting, send notifications to applicants from Handshake, and Official hiring paperwork that is required by the Student Employment office.

NEOGOV Requisitions 101

Workshop Description:
By attending this workshop, you will learn the process flow for recruitment and employment transactions administered by the Human Resources Department. Participants will learn how to enter requisitions in the NEOGOV system for a variety of situations including recruitment and temporary assignments. Participants will also be given the tools to help understand and avoid pitfalls with requisitions that may delay processing.

Workshop Description:
Interested in knowing the difference between an account “user” and “approver”? Need to know how to quickly review your order status, upload new files and view the final costs of a print job? Are you preparing for an event and need to know the best options for event signage and promotional materials? Curious about how to accurately request shredding or scanning services? In this interactive demonstration of Printing Services, participants will gain knowledge in the above processes as well as learn how to select the proper forms, account information, paper options, and upload proper file types using the online ordering system.

This workshop will focus on what the process entails; steps in pursuing a reclassification, timelines, and guidelines for preparing your position description and other necessary paperwork. Additionally, attendees are educated on how to submit reclassification and/or in-range progression requests online. This will assist employees in understanding when a reclassification may be appropriate, and what to expect as the process moves along.

Workshop Description: An unexpected emergency can occur at any time, with little to no warning, and when seconds
count, being prepared is crucial. In this informative 1-hour workshop, attendees will learn best practices for individual disaster preparedness including building a personal emergency kit for their home, office and/or vehicle. Additionally, attendees will become familiar with
CSUSB’s campus emergency operations plan and know how to best respond in the event of an emergency.
