My time at CSUSB has shaped who I am today because I knew that I really wanted to be at a school that was very community-focused and very focused on civic engagement. And right off the bat, CSUSB offered that with the type of educational programs that they have like Cal-SOAP, California College Corps. The way that I got career development and academic support starting here at CSUSB was through California College Corps.

And then we have such a fantastic group of faculty and staff who are engaged with students. Sarai Maldonado, our Film Club advisor, she's been very instrumental here in my experience at CSUSB. The school does a really good job of fostering community engagement and programs that really fit students who are trying to lead our generation and our world into a better future.

There have been so many people who have been champions, not just of the club, but of me, of my story, and all of that has really shaped my experience here at CSUSB. And what I've really learned is that You know, my strengths lie in my care for the community, my care for the people who are behind me, and my care for myself. CSUSB is a beacon in the Inland Empire, and I really hope that we as a school, you know, give back to it the way that San Bernardino gives to us.
