0:05 Coming to CSUSB was the right choice because it was close to me, very affordable for a 4-year university. 0:11 Another important thing was a lot of my family had gone here. You know, my grandma, my mom, my cousins all had gone through CSUSB, so I felt a little bit of 0:20 a connection to the campus as well. With that, I think the biggest accomplishment I've had so far is working on the join the pack website. It's a very forward- 0:27 facing website that every student, not just newly admitted students, but students for years to come will see. I think something I learned was working 0:35 with people in settings that aren't just people who have the same knowledge set as you. Having experience bridging knowledge gaps is a very important skill 0:43 to have that I did get from working on campus. I think the biggest piece of advice I would have for anyone looking to come to school at CSUSB is make 0:50 connections with people whether it be at CSUSB or people out in the field who are working on projects that you want to be 0:58 a part of. Having connections will open a lot of doors for you and will give you a lot of opportunities in the future to expand your horizons. My name is Ryan 1:07 Stairs. I love CSUSB and I'm a coyote for life.
