[ Music ] >> The first thing is the opportunity for faculty to learn. And when I say learn, you can see it at face value. When you walk down the food court, you go to the library, you see people, you observe the diversity. What you see, you see diversity in the student body. You need diversity in the classroom because it is the only thing that prevents students from being left behind. So if you treat them the same, then you're missing the mark. So diversity in the classroom is what will be -- will let everyone to be included in what you have to do. Otherwise, someone will stay behind. When students see faculty from diverse backgrounds, and that's good for them. How? They benefit from it because there are things that happen to them, their own experiences. They have experiences that only they can explain them. They want a certain faculty with a certain background, someone to whom they might confide. Someone for them who's been through the same living experiences. They feel at ease to come to you and say, hey, this is what's going on in my life. If they have just one view, it's not good for them. But when they have diverse faculty, they benefit from each -- the input that comes from each faculty. And that is what is good about CSUSB. You have a place here. You are welcome here. And I think that's something great. So a school is supposed to welcome everyone, and I think CSUSB is doing that. [ Music ]
