I really appreciate the diversity here at CSUSB.

And I think one of the things that makes our community and our campus stand out is
that diversity on our campus is the norm, rather than being something
that is special or unique or exceptionalized.

At our campus, diversity is expected and diversity is absolutely part of the community.

It is what makes us Coyotes here is that everywhere that you go, you are surrounded
by a diverse group of faculty, staff, students, and community members throughout our campus.

As a person who is first-generation Haitian-American,
one of the things I love sharing in my classes is I love to talk about Haiti.
I love to talk about what the Haitian and also the Haitian-American cultural experience is I think that for many of my students I might be the only
or the first Haitian-American that they know.

Students benefit a plethora of ways by having a diverse faculty.

In fact, many studies have shown that this is absolutely the key
to really receiving a good and a thorough education.
