Coming to Cal State San Bernadino as an international scholar --
I'm from Switzerland originally -- I immediately felt welcome here.

All worldviews, all cultures, everyone is valued here, everyone's opinion is valued here.
Diversity expands student education because it fosters creativity.

This allows students to engage with new ideas, new worldviews, and in that sense they can bring that to whatever their profession will be in the future.
I also want to highlight that our campus provides many opportunities for students

to explore diverse cultures and diversity abroad through our study abroad programs and travel.

And having taken students abroad and seeing how their eyes light up in a foreign country, the experiences they go through, bringing them that opportunity is just what really -- is a very fulfilling experience for me and a very grateful
that CSUSB allows us to do that as faculty.
