[Music] I'm Savannah. I'm a fourth-year social work major and I am Muscogee Creek. I am a student assistant at the First Peoples' Center and I am also involved in housing. I'm a resident assistant for first years for the living learning committees of the LGBTQIA community and the Women in Science and Engineering community. I'm really grateful for everything I've been given and all the opportunities I've had, and I want to do something with that. And I feel like with the First Peoples' Center I have had a lot of opportunities not only to be able to accomplish that but also to just grow. And I feel like social work's a really great way to do that. I've had experience working in a domestic violence shelter. I would work with kids while their parents would go get resources and tutor them because they're often quite behind in school. I'm getting to see that I could bring them comfort when they were at an emergency shelter or seeing that I could help them get that topic in school their teacher couldn't quite get to them. It's helped me feeling like I could make a difference. Working with Savannah and getting to know the person she was was super easy. She's kindhearted. Folks that come in, she's always saying hi, you know? It's perseverance. It's kindheartedness. It's having a great sense of humor. It's being a warrior -- genuinely, like being a warrior. And you put all that together and you get Savannah Hull. At CSUSB, I think we have a really great student body. Being an RA and getting to meet students through that. Being in the First Peoples' Center, meeting students through that. Through classes, through programs or activities, I've gotten to meet a lot of students, and I can say across the board we have a lot of people who are very passionate about what they're doing. When I came out was on campus and I would say a large part due to CSUSB. Just there was so much acceptance and love where I hadn't really seen that as much before. When I see that 'We Define the Future' for CSUSB, I really do believe that. Hi, my name is Savannah Hull. I'm a proud Muscogee Creek lesbian woman. I love CSUSB and I'm a Coyote for life.
