[ Music ] >> One thing I really like about CSUSB is the diversity of the population, and especially, that there are so many people who are first-time college people in their family. That has been a wonder for me to see because you'll see people just experiencing things that their family did not. In the theater department, we have a very diverse faculty. We had a professor before who was Latina, and what it does, it brings in different tastes, different passions, different understandings, and different methods, because theater is not a one thing. It is so many things. I mean, it is incredibly diverse, and when you have people coming from different walks of life, who also are brilliantly educated in theater, and that know so many different plays, the students get that information from all of us, and diversity expands education in every way. I mean, in the arts, it's about heart. It's about feeling. It's about culture or different cultures coming together. We do plays from all different cultures. A lot of it has to do with what particular culture a professor comes from. There are times when we just go wild and do something is totally outside of our realm. The students get that from us. They get different points of view. [ Music ] [ Howling ]
