>> I really appreciated being on this campus.
Like, I got here in '96.
I've seen the campus grow bigger.
I've seen a lot of things change, but the thing I haven't seen change, is a commitment to diversity.
All I see are increasing opportunities, and it's made it a really good place to work.
It's really hard when you go to a university and all your faculty don't reflect you,
they don't look like you, so you always feel
that you're maybe not able to achieve what they achieve.
It's really important to have people that look like you, that you can see yourself
in the future being just like them.
What I appreciate about the diversity at CSUSB is that it makes this a welcoming place.
When you walk on this campus, you see people that look like you no matter who you are.
So it's just very welcoming and it makes it a place that anybody can feel at home.
[ Music ] Diversity is a vital part of CSUSB and we are proud to represent various backgrounds, thought and experiences.
