Both the Department of Music and the Department of Theater Arts shape students
into well-rounded individuals with artistic integrity,
practical skills, and unique experiences.
With a number of ensembles, students in the music program are able to blossom in their area
of interest and showcase their talent.
Whether it's singing or playing an instrument, students are offered opportunities
to participate in special performances, such as the full-length motion picture produced
by the opera theater or when the symphonic orchestra played in South Korea.
Much like music, theater majors not only grow their own talents but also share
and promote them to the community through their seasonal plays and through programs
such as Players of the Pear Garden.
What goes on behind the scenes is just as important during a theatrical performance,
and the department boasts an award-winning technical program.
