- Dr. Jin has taught extensive courses mainly in financial accounting from accounting principle to advanced accounting for undergraduate students and from accounting theory to doctoral dissertations for graduate students. He joined CSUSB in fall 2009 from University of Maryland-Eastern Shore where he was a tenured full professor of accounting.

- Ever since he earned a PhD in Accounting from University of Arizona, Dr. Jin has specialized in capital market research where he has published 34 articles in peer reviewed journals including Journal of Accounting and Public Policy, Journal of International Business Research, Review of Accounting and Finance, Journal of Accounting and Finance Research and Academy of Accounting and Financial Studies Journal. Dr. Jin has also made numerous paper presentations at national and international conferences such as the IACIS Annual Conference, the Allied Academies International Internet Conference, the European Applied Business Research Conference, the Korean Accounting Association Conference, the Decision Science Institute (DSI) National Conference and the American Accounting Association Conference.
