Early Orientation for Designated Subjects

The College of Extended Learning is partnering with the College of Education to deliver this brand new, online course to teachers entering the field of career and technical education. It must be completed within one month of entering the classroom to teach courses in high school, ROP or Adult Education programs. Students have until quarter census date to register. It is self-paced and self-directed, with interactive instructor support and guidance to facilitate student success. Prior experience with an online course is not required.

To be successful, students will need a computer with Internet access and reliable e-mail, Microsoft Word or Open Office software, required textbooks and a positive, problem-solving attitude. Upon registration, students will be sent an electronic welcome letter containing CSUSB login, textbook and other course information.

Who should attend?

  • Teachers entering the field of career and technical education
  • High school, ROP or Adult Education teachers
