Eligibility

Students interested in applying to the Mellon Mays Undergraduate Fellowship should meet the following requirements. If you are unsure about your eligibility, please contact Dr. Ryan Keating (rkeating@csusb.edu)

Sophomores or juniors who:

  1. Must have a 3.5 GPA or higher
  2. U.S. student (citizen, permanent resident, DACAmented, or undocumented)
  3. At least two years left at CSUSB.
  4. Must want to pursue a Ph.D. in a Mellon Approved field.
  5. Have a passion for research, teaching, mentorship, and genuinely open to a career in higher education
  6. Genuinely considering graduate study in a Mellon designated field
  7. Committed to the goals of MMUF.
