Academic Career Mentors

Academic career mentors are professional staff who work directly with undergraduate students and student leaders who serve as peer mentors on academic, professional, and personal growth and development. They promote student participation in mentorship programs by advocating for the importance of student engagement, and its impact on self-knowledge and major/career choices.

Academic Career Mentors provide academic career coaching services to all CSUSB students. Benefits of career coaching include opportunities for ongoing academic guidance, self-exploration, and in-depth academic-to-career support. By utilizing formal and informal career assessments, training peer-mentors, facilitating group discussions, academic career coaching enhances the CSUSB student experience.
