The Library Multimedia Center is a student-centered, multi-use space dedicated to offering all CSUSB students, regardless of their course enrollment, access to multimedia production equipment and media collaboration rooms. The LMMC also offers thoughtful programming designed to broaden students’ awareness of cultures, histories, and social justice.
Media Collaboration Rooms
The LMMC has two multimedia collaboration rooms with double monitors, iMacs, and a stereo turntable. The following media editing software is available: Final Cut Pro; GarageBand; iMovie; Audacity; and the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite.
Library Multimedia Center Theatre
The centerpiece of the LMMC is our surround-sound, high-definition Blu-ray theatre which seats 75. The library hosts film screenings and special events here throughout the year. CSUSB faculty are invited to reserve this space for film screenings, readings, and other educational purposes. The LMMC also serves as a flexible instruction space, where librarians teach classes and workshops.
CSUSB administrative departments may reserve the LMMC space for professional meetings; however, please be aware that because of the multi-use configuration of the LMMC, your event will not be private. Students and others may enter, study, use collaboration rooms, and visit the LMMC service desk at any time during events. If you require a completely private space, please consider other campus locations.
Group Study Rooms
There are eight group study rooms in the LMMC. Seven of them are 4-person rooms and one is a 6-person room. All have whiteboards, and you can borrow markers/erasers from the LMMC service desk. As a reminder, the LMMC is a study space and often is the site of special events, so your cooperation with keeping the noise level down is appreciated.
