The librarian on duty during desk hours will ask you to fill out a research application, then help you find the materials you need and bring them out for you to use in the Special Collections Reading Room.

Charles Clayton Howe Photographs
The Howe Collection chronicles the Association's archaeological digs from 1947-72 in Southern California and Mexico through photographs taken by ASA member Charley Howe.
This collection is Mr. Gomez's donation of existing back issues of the Hispanic News papers as well as his reference files to California State University, San Bernardino.

This is a collection of Major James McLaughlin's years as an agent, and later as an inspector. These are copies of important correspondences.
Latino Baseball History Project: The Southern California Experience
The Latino Baseball History Project has worked to document information and preserve artifacts related to the history of Latino softball and baseball, with a special emphasis on Mexican American baseball throughout the nation.
Librarians at the Pfau Library have collected many examples of pulp fiction over the years. All are kept in the Rare Book Room of Special Collections.
The Water Resources Institute (WRI),Picture has developed a special collection of water data archives for the Salton Sea watershed housed at the California State University San Bernardino, Palm Desert Campus (PDC).
In 1974 professor Bruce Golden sent Pfau Library Director Art Nelson information on Walter Steele's collection of historical photographs. Over the years Director Nelson purchased over 600 of the photographs for Pfau Library Special Collections.
WWII Japanese Relocation Center and Internment Camp Newspapers
The people interned at the Assembly Centers and the Relocation Camps published their own newspapers. The library has an exhaustive set of these on microfilm, under the title Records of the War Relocation Authority, 1942-1946.
