POSITION DESCRIPTION: CED offers paid internships to juniors and seniors during their college career. POSITION DESCRIPTION: Working as Part-Time Sales Support, you must have a strong interest in sales and enjoy working in a fast-paced challenging environment. POSITION DESCRIPTION: As a Leasing Community Intern, you must have the ability to deliver high quality customer service and dedication to our residents. Leasing Community Interns (LCIs) must possess the skills to cooperate and collaborate as a team. RESPONSIBILITIES: (Including but not limited to)

  • Be an ambassador for customer service by consistently going above and beyond to ensure that Cardinal customers are satisfied.
  • Administrative Front Desk tasks and duties.
  • Participate in Cardinal Way of Leasing (CWoL) training as required.
  • Utilize the Cardinal Way of Leasing by:
    • Warmly greeting prospective clients

  • Complete all lease applications and lease file paperwork.
  • Required to pass third party leasing shops and become Cardinal Way of Leasing certified.
  • Maintain accurate lease file documentation in accordance with company policy; participate in lease file audits as assigned by the Community Manager.
  • Be an expert on current market conditions and trends, by shopping competition and attending Cardinal trainings.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the tour path to ensure for a positive first impression of the community.
  • Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude with team members, residents, prospective residents, and vendors.
  • Participate in and assist with planning community events.
  • Assist with various additional community projects as assigned by the Community Manager.
  • Participate in Cardinal U training as required.
  • “On-call” responsibilities (lock-outs, nightly rounds, etc.)

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be enrolled in a degree program at an accredited college or university, with a minimum of 6 credit hours.
  • Must have completed a minimum of one year at the enrolled accredited college or university.
  • Must maintain a minimum 2.5 cumulative grade point average. GPA will be verified on an annual basis. Failure to maintain a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA may result in probation, suspension or release from the Community Intern position.
  • Must be a current or future leaseholder of community.
  • Must live on designated community floor, per community guidelines, as assigned by Community Manager.
  • Able to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Available to be scheduled for work approximately 20 hours per week.

The Office of Sustainability is seeking one Social Media Content Intern who will work within Facilities Management, specifically in the Office of Sustainability under the direct supervision of the Energy and Sustainability Manager. The Intern will:

  • Receive meaningful work experiences to enhance their academic and career development;
  • Learn professional competency standards to enhance their resume and job marketability;
  • Have opportunities to learn and develop leadership and decision-making skills;
  • Develop and maintain a work plan that facilitates basic project management skills;
  • Be highly encouraged to submit work projects for recognition such as conferences for scholarship and professional development opportunities;
  • Contribute to the good of the campus and social media community; and
  • Obtain a Letter of Completion at the end of the academic year outlining their work projects, technical skills and expertise.

QUALIFICATIONS: Familiarity with social media platforms is desirable but not required. Applicants with a study of sustainability, marketing or communications are preferred. Preference will also be given to junior, senior, or graduate student applicants.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must be an enrolled student at California State University, San Bernardino and be in good academic standing according to their program. Applicants must commit to six months or more.  Competency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Word processing and spreadsheets) and Google Drive is essential.

A GPA minimum of 3.0 is required.

An applicant must have excellent writing and communication skills, and be able to work within a group or independently. Accuracy, attention to detail, organization, time-management and creativity are necessary. The Intern is required to complete campus online training modules such as Safety Orientation, Sexual Harassment, and/or FERPA before commencing work.

POSITION DESCRIPTION: As the Leasing & Marketing Team Leader, you are responsible for assisting the Community Manager in maintaining all aspects of property operations, but with a concentration on the leasing, marketing, resident relations and functions of the community. POSITION DESCRIPTION: As a Community Manager you are primarily responsible for protecting, maintaining, and enhancing the value of the community while also maximizing the living experience for residents and the community. This is accomplished by effectively directing and coordinating the community's overall operational activities. RESPONSIBILITIES (Including but not limited to):

  • Direct the day-to-day activities of loss prevention, risk management, safety/security, maintenance, marketing, leasing and ongoing facility upkeep.

  • Analyze and produce monthly financial statements including operating variances from budget, cash management and strategies for collection of receivables.
  • Maintain complete and accurate community files and records, including finalized audits to ensure lease data has been input correctly into management software.
  • Coordinate collection and documentation of all revenues following lease obligations of residents.
  • Engage, contract, supervise and approve invoices for all goods/services required to maintain the community.
  • Successfully lead on-site maintenance technicians, office staff and leasing team members.
  • Manage resident relations as they pertain to coordinating requests for repairs and maintenance, understanding of rent charges, lease issues and other resident concerns.
  • Participates in Cardinal U training as required and monitor Team Member participation in Cardinal U.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Four (4) years’ experience in property management. Must have a strong working knowledge of leasing, marketing, construction, residential law and resident relations.
  • Working knowledge of property management software; Yardi is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and the Google platform.
  • Ability to analyze a monthly financial statement and prepare detailed budgets and operating forecasts.
  • Ability to note deviations from financial plan, determine causes and to provide recommendations to the company on required action plans.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Ability to understand and carry out industry specific written and oral direction. Positive, innovative approach to problem solving.

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Interns for Make-A-Wish® Orange County and the Inland Empire give of their time and talents to help create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. All of our internships are unpaid; however, in return for their hard work and dedication, our interns receive valuable training, knowledge, hands-on non-profit work experience, a chance to meet others, and the gratification of making a difference in the life of a child. 

Academic credit can also be provided for students (specific criteria/requirements of the student's educational institution apply). Successful candidates are typically students or recent graduates (over the age of 18) with excellent written and oral communication skills, good organizational skills, the ability to multi-task, computer proficiency, and internet research ability.
