POSITION DESCRIPTION: CED offers paid internships to juniors and seniors during their college career. Our 10-12 week internship will encompass much of what is in our Credit Manager Training Program just on a shortened timeline. Our goal for our interns is to have them get a great feel for all aspects of our business, and in particular the day to day operations of the credit office and the Credit Manager. CED will provide intern candidates with extensive training and opportunity to gain valuable experience in Credit and Risk Management.

The Social Media Intern is a CSUSB student who is committed to helping the Office of Sustainability build, operate and nurture a healthier more resilient campus community.  We want you to have the opportunity to create a portfolio showcasing your marketing talents which include:

  • Implement and manage our social media strategy
  • Coordinate a posting schedule for social media partners
  • Report on important social media KPIs
  • Develop marketing materials
  • Assist Manager in developing social media content

The Office of Sustainability is seeking one Social Media Content Intern who will work within Facilities Management, specifically in the Office of Sustainability under the direct supervision of the Energy and Sustainability Manager. The Intern will:

  • Receive meaningful work experiences to enhance their academic and career development;
  • Learn professional competency standards to enhance their resume and job marketability;
  • Have opportunities to learn and develop leadership and decision-making skills;
  • Develop and maintain a work plan that facilitates basic project management skills;
  • Be highly encouraged to submit work projects for recognition such as conferences for scholarship and professional development opportunities;
  • Contribute to the good of the campus and social media community; and
  • Obtain a Letter of Completion at the end of the academic year outlining their work projects, technical skills and expertise.

QUALIFICATIONS: Familiarity with social media platforms is desirable but not required. Applicants with a study of sustainability, marketing or communications are preferred. Preference will also be given to junior, senior, or graduate student applicants.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must be an enrolled student at California State University, San Bernardino and be in good academic standing according to their program. Applicants must commit to six months or more.  Competency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Word processing and spreadsheets) and Google Drive is essential.

A GPA minimum of 3.0 is required.

An applicant must have excellent writing and communication skills, and be able to work within a group or independently. Accuracy, attention to detail, organization, time-management and creativity are necessary. The Intern is required to complete campus online training modules such as Safety Orientation, Sexual Harassment, and/or FERPA before commencing work.

Ability to: Take direction and supervision; benefit and learn rapidly from on-the-job training; think logically and write clearly and concisely; compile data, perform arithmetical computations, analyze statistical data and prepare reports; learn to operate and use specialized equipment; maintain cooperative relations with co-workers and the public.

POSITION DESCRIPTION: As an intern you will have the opportunity to observe a non-profit agency, learn issues of homelessness and gain awareness of social services. Now hiring for the "Harold Cares About Your Future, Ask Harold for Help" Program is a 10-week parenting/employment class held on Tuesday evenings from 6:00p-7:30p. Parenting Classes for teen moms between the ages of 14 and 21. Participants receive parenting education and referrals, nutrition and health education, résumé development and substance abuse prevention. Our participants are rewarded for learning with various incentives.

Duties will include but are not limited to: Helping serve dinner, Facilitate workshop (introduce speaker, distribute material, etc), Distribute incentives, Clean-up, Actively engage and interact with participants.

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Candidates who are hired will ultimately be placed based on a combination of their preference and their existing relevant experience. The areas are as follows:

  • Football - You may assist any of our certified agents in various ways including providing information on a recruit, checking/comparing stats for existing clients, etc. Through your time, you will gain a better understanding of the player/agent relationship and the steps that go into obtaining and upkeep of a client. You will be supervised by one of our dual player and coaching agents who is also heading the recruiting process this year.
  • Marketing - You will help with research of marketing and endorsement opportunities for clients, reach out to companies on behalf of clients, and generally support the marketing staff in securing deals. You will have the opportunity to assist with and sit in on negotiations for multiple marketing/endorsement agreements.
  • Client Relations – You will support our Client Relations staff that assists clients with any concierge needs they have off of the field. This includes helping with travel, finding and securing housing, public relations, assisting with their charities, post-career matters and more. Involvement with this department will serve as a well-rounded way to gain experience on the added value that we offer to our clients.
  • Legal – You will assist our General Counsel, who is also a coaching agent, in the review and creation of representation, employment and marketing contracts for clients as well as assist with any other potential legal needs for clients or the company as a whole. It is a great opportunity to apply your legal experience in a sports setting.
  • Graphic Design – You will assist in creating compelling artwork and graphic designs to support the creative department. This will include designing material for social media, branding materials, logos, design campaigns and personalized recruiting materials. Significant design experience is required for full consideration. Experience within sports and/or with video and motion graphics preferred.

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Foothill Family Shelter is a volunteer driven organization. As such the Volunteer Coordinator Intern is an integral team member in the development and success of the branch, as measured by service impact. This is a part-time, unpaid intern position. The volunteer coordinator intern will work with the Volunteer Coordinator to establish strong, reciprocally beneficial connections between members of the community at large and Foothill Family Shelter to help secure volunteers consistently throughout the year. The volunteer coordinator intern will help facilitate the volunteer process by helping recruit, process, and supervise volunteers. This position requires approximately 6-12 hours per week for at least a semester (Spring: January- May, Summer, or Fall: September - December). Benefits of an internship at Foothill Family Shelter: Gain valuable knowledge about the process and structure of a non-profit. Obtain management experience. Enhance communication, critical thinking, organizational, and leadership skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist with outreach and recruitment efforts to members, students, community groups, and other organizations (nonprofit and for-profit). Work with the Volunteer Coordinator to schedule interviews and trainings for volunteers. Update volunteer database and maintaining a volunteer roster. Assist with activities related to volunteer recruitment, training, management and retention including calculating service hours, posting volunteer opportunities, scheduling service opportunities, pairing volunteers according to interest and availability, and coordinating volunteer appreciation events. Sort through clothing and food donations.

QUALIFICATIONS: Student should be enrolled in college and pursuing a degree in social service related field. An interest in non-profit leadership, development, human services and/or youth development. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. A quick learner with ability to thrive in a fast-paced, flexible environment. Strong attention to detail and organization. Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Apps. Ability to solve problems independently and creatively. Previous experience in youth development and/or nonprofit are preferred.

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Interns must have good attendance and a positive, professional demeanor.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Initiate contact with clients
  • Participate in regular training and relevant continued education
  • Schedule phone and/or Zoom appointments
  • Schedule and coordinate Zoom and phone calls
  • Establish and maintain social media marketing
  • Conduct email marketing campaigns via Constant Contact
  • Assist in industry related market research
  • Assist with the development of business curriculum (not for an educational institution)
  • Administrative tasks on Adobe Creative Cloud and other mediums as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • HS Diploma

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Excellent knowledge of social media platforms 
  • Attention to detail 
  • Provide excellent service to clients Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud 
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
