Common Network Initiative (CNI) Network Upgrade
As part of the systemwide Common Network Initiative (CNI), CSUSB will undergo a major network upgrade over the Summer 2019 quarter. The project began in March 2019 and is slated to complete by October 2019. Final testing will occur at the end of September 2019.
The $1.4M project will upgrade all campus access layer network equipment that connects all campus buildings. CNI upgrade will cover all state buildings, while non-state buildings will be upgraded later this academic year and will be managed internally by ITS staff. As approved by IT Governance, you will find the project migration schedule below.
