The narratives presented in this exhibition are based on interviews that ranged in length from thirty minutes to four hours. To prepare the narratives, our team used participants’ own words as much as possible. Each participant was given the opportunity to review the resultant narrative to ensure that it accurately represented their opinions, ideas, and lived experiences.
Participants were recruited at community events, via social media, in CSUSB classrooms, and through existing networks of individual faculty members. No one who wanted to participate was turned away. As a result, these narratives represent a rich array of perspectives from a broad cross-section of the Inland Empire.
The interviews with In|Dignity participants are available to listen to on within the exhibition gallery using your personal internet-enabled device. Each interview has been divided into short audio clips, and edited for length and clarity.
Narratives will be provided online following the exhibition debut.
