New Learning Portal | CSULearn

Earlier this year CSU San Bernardino successfully migrated from SkillSoft to a new streamlined learning portal for faculty and staff, CSULearn. This new learning portal allows our campus to assign and leverage content including professional development and compliance courses.

Now that we are live in CSULearn, the campus focus and purpose of this webpage has transitioned to campus communication regarding Required Online Compliance Course assignments.

Campus Community Required Online Compliance Courses

The CSU requires that faculty and staff take certain courses to comply with state and university requirements that are driven by federal law, state law or CSU policy. A majority of these courses will be assigned through the systemwide learn management system, CSULearn.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Where can I learn how to navigate this system? Will there be tutorials or training?
    • The Staff Development Center will be offering training sessions about navigating CSULearn. Stay tuned for announcements about course offerings, or vist the Staff Development Center Learn page for more information.
    • You can also view our short CSU Tutorial for a quick overview of navigating CSULearn.

  • I've taken some of these Required Online Compliance Courses before, why am I required to take them again?
    • Content Enhancements
      • Any completed training history/records that were in SkillSoft have carried over to CSULearn. Some training completions from SkillSoft may count as equivalencies in CSULearn. However, a majority of employees will be required to renew their compliance content. There have been many course enhancements and improvements, that renewal has been required for all employees to become compliant.
    • Scheduled Renewals:
      • In an effort to closer align our campus with federal laws, state laws, and CSU policies, CSU San Bernardino has implemented a number of new scheduled renewals for courses that previously were one time courses. For a full list of the San Bernardino specific course assignments, you can view our master spreadsheet:
  • I am a new hire, how do I complete compliance training?
    • As early as June 2019, all new hire compliance training will be auto-assigned to the employee upon hire or as needed. While the system itself (CSULearn) is available, a majority of compliance course content is being vetted for appropriateness. As the courses become available they will be assigned on a rolling basis. We ask employees to await automated notifications from CSULearn to notify them when the content is ready. For any questions, please contact CSULearn@csusb.edu
