The Faculty Video Showcase

Joint initiative hosted by FCE and Pfau Library

The inaugural joint initiative between the FCE and Pfau Library

The inaugural joint initiative between the FCE and Pfau Library is intended to highlight and keep record of all the efforts that our faculty have done in research as well as for other faculty to use as content. The objective is to create dense, high-quality presentations and interviews with CSUSB faculty about their books, articles, or creative contributions. In doing so, we can initiate ongoing presentations and interviews with CSUSB faculty about their book publications or published research and/or articles—past, present, and prospective. There will be topics from all disciplines included but not limited to historical, ethical, scientific, and pedagogical themes amongst others. Eventually, all disciplines will be represented in various series. The first topic is Social Justice. Usually, faculty would present their research in a 1-2 hour event and there is no record of their work in-depth, but through these video showcases, this material will be archived, have a further pedagogical approach, and be more accessible to faculty and students in curriculums, as we are hopeful that our colleagues can teach each other's content as they see fit. In terms of impact, access to the content will enrich student learning and faculty instruction, invigorating the campus' intellectual climate and raising the academic bar for students. These showcases will be published on CSUSB ScholarWorks, https://scholarworks.lib.csusb.edu/, and will be a beneficial resource for the University and scholars worldwide.
