Virtual Service Learning Workshop*

Thursday, November 4th, 2021 from 12 – 1 p.m. |Via Zoom

Service learning at CSUSB is a high-impact teaching method that promotes student learning through active participation in meaningful and planned service experiences in the community that are substantively related to course content. Through reflective activities, students enhance their understanding of course content, general knowledge, sense of civic responsibility, self-awareness and commitment to the community. This workshop will focus on developing community-engaged online courses, embedding service-learning experiences to an existing course and designing reflection activities for virtual settings. While this presentation has a special focus on virtual service learning, a lot of the information shared can be adopted to in-person or hybrid course instruction. Click here to register.
