About the Courses
Early Start Math (ESM 105) is a college-level math course that will prepare you for reasoning and problem-solving in Math 115 or Math 110. Rather than just reviewing algebra and geometry skills, you will learn what to do when you encounter a problem of a type you have never seen before, with no method you can remember. You will also have the opportunity to learn how spreadsheets are used for doing math, so bring a smartphone and laptop or tablet (such as an iPad) if you have one. If you don’t, CSUSB has laptops you can borrow for class.
Download your free copy of Microsoft Office 365 before class starts. See Blackboard for instructions or contact campus Tech Support (support@csusb.edu, 909-537-7677).
Questions about the math course? Email Professor Susan Addington at saddingt@csusb.edu.
