University Diversity Committee Definitions
Workforce diversity is a collection of individual attributes that together help CSU San Bernardino pursue our mission. These include, but not limited to, characteristics such as national origin, language, race, color, disability, ethnicity, gender, age, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, socioeconomic status, veteran status, and family structures.
A culture that connects each individual to CSU San Bernardino; encourages collaboration, flexibility, and fairness; and leverages diversity throughout the college so that all individuals are able to participate and contribute to their full potential.
Equity is the concept of treating all indiviuals with fair consideration, regardless of their culture, race, gender, disability or any number of other factors.
