We want you to explore. CSUSB’s Cybersecurity program is about providing you with all the things you need. It is up to you and your interests to bring it to the forefront and do great things. Build a supercomputer? Virtual cluster? Design a game? Investigate a cyber crime? Work on a project with national importance? It is all here. What is your interest?

Research Lab

The Cybersecurity Center Research Lab is located in Jack Brown Hall Rm 122. This lab is for the use of the faculty and InfoSec club members only during scheduled hours.

The lab is intended to sponsor class projects and practicum trials. Due to the nature of information security, all projects require the approval of an advisor. Students should be prepared to document their proposals and conduct themselves in a professional manner. Students should also be aware of the campus electronic resource use policies.

Lab Equipment

  • Dell/Vmware virtual environment (funded by the DoD)
  • OSX: Powermac Dual G5 Server & 24 inch iMac (2.8)
  • PC’s:10 Premium workstations, 10 Dell Pentium Workstations with removable drives

Servers: Dell Poweredge

Network: Cisco Routers, switches and Intrusion Detection equipment. Wireless routers. HP and Nortel switches.

The lab also features a technical library and software available for download.

Lab Hours change from quarter to quarter.
