Do You Qualify for AFROTC?

Below are the minimum eligibility requirements to enroll in AFROTC. Please send us an e-mail if you have any questions: afrotc@csusb.edu:

  • Enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited college that hosts or has a crosstown agreement with an Air Force ROTC detachment

  • A United States citizen (or actively in pursuit of US citizenship)

  • In good physical condition

  • Of good moral character

  • 14 years or older (17 years old to receive a scholarship)

  • Committed to attending both the aerospace studies class and Leadership Lab each semester

Prospective applicant briefing appointments are currently held on the second Tuesday of every month at 2:00 P.M. Please send us an e-mail confirming your attendance. We'll ensure one of our representatives are available.

 

Sophomore applicants will be considered case-by-case with higher standards. If these requirements are not met, an applicant may still enter the program as an AS100 with a 4-year academic plan.

  • The minimum GPA in prior college level course work is 3.0.
  • Applicants will provide an academic plan prior to the first day of AFROTC class in the
    semester of program entry.
  • Applicants will attempt and pass the Physical Fitness Assessment (PFA) prior to the first
    day of AFROTC class in the semester of program entry.
  • Applicants will attempt the Air Force Officer Qualifying Test (AFOQT) within the first 45
    days of the semester of program entry.
