Web accessibility evaluation tools are software programs or online services that help determine if a website meets accessibility guidelines. While web accessibility evaluation tools can significantly reduce the time and effort to evaluate websites, no tool can automatically determine the accessibility of Web sites.

Accessibility Check

The CSUSB campus community can use two tools to determine the accessibility of their webpages:

  1. Compliance Deputy Toolbar will check for overall accessibility of one web page using browser toolbars.
  2. Compliance Sheriff will scan an entire website for accessibility

Compliance Deputy works on:

  • Windows (IE and Chrome browsers)  
  • Mac (Chrome browser).

Full Accessibility Check

Use the CSU ATI Automated SoftwareTool Compliance Sheriff to test your web pages for accessibility. The following tools are used in conjunction with the manual evaluation to ensure all issues are resolved.
