Leadership Academy Certificate Program

Winter 2008

Leadership Academy is a specialized leadership program that will help you gain a competitive edge in the job market as well as equip you with excellent student leadership skills for daily life at CSUSB. Choose from over 20 learning workshops. All workshops are FREE to students; however, registration is required for attendance.

Leadership Academy Requirements for New Participants:

1. Attend Leadership Academy Orientation.
   Monday, January 14, 2008 from 2-4 pm in SMSU 216 or
   Tuesday, January 15, 2008 from 4-6 pm in SMSU 216
2. Complete 12 workshops.
3. Attend a minimum of two workshops in each of the three categories (Organizations & Community, Individual Development, and Diversity).
4. Introduce one workshop presenter.
5. Write a personal reflection paper for each workshop you attend.
6. Compile a leadership resource binder.
7. Submit a final paper.
8. Complete a service project for every year you participate in the Leadership Academy.

Leadership Academy Requirements for Returning Participants:

1. Attend the Returners' Orientation.
   Monday, January 14, 2008 from 4-6 pm in SMSU 216 or
   Tuesday, January 15, 2008 from 2-4 pm in SMSU 216
2. Participate in on service project.
3. Complete and submit the program binder.
