Executive Wisdom

D. Linn Wiley is the CSUSB College of Business and Public Administration’s version of the wise man on the hill, only much more professional and accessible. In fact, as the college’s 2007-2008 Executive-in-Residence, he has brought his wisdom to the students. In particular, Wiley is emphasizing the need for quality and professionalism in business writing, and is meeting with students, faculty and the public to offer insights to his success. He piloted Ontario-based Citizens Business Bank to its place as 11th largest commercial bank in California. It is the largest bank headquartered in the Inland Empire. He served as president and chief executive officer of CVB Financial Corp. and CBB from 1991 to 2006, and is now vice chairman of the CVB board of directors. Wiley has served on a number of CSUSB committees, including the President’s Advancement Council and the College of Business and Public Administration Dean’s Advisory Council. In 2001 he received the Arrowhead Distinguished Executive Award from the CSUSB business college.
