Green Gets Apple Green Gets Apple

The university’s 2007-2008 Golden Apple Award went to political science professor William C. Green, but his dedication tempted him to keep teaching his class right through the celebration. When CSUSB president Albert Karnig, previous Golden Apple winners and other faculty and administration stormed his foreign policy class to make the presentation, Green joked that they were “wasting valuable time,” but added, “I’m abashedly humbled and very gratified by this.” Green has been an associate professor of political science at CSUSB since 1985, gathering much praise from students and colleagues along the way, who cite his outstanding character and integrity, and his qualities as a scholarly teacher with deep understanding of the field. Before coming to CSUSB, Green taught at Boston University and USC.
